Nice Rear...

When pricing out the parts to re-gear my diff I found myself asking "why put good money in a shitty axle?" After some calling around and on-line research I decide to go with a Ford 8.8 rearend. I found one for $350 with limited slip, 4.10 gears (no need to re-gear), Disc brakes and 72,ooo miles plus it has the same bolt pattern. Cost of carrier and ring & pinion for D35: $350. Cost of Ford 8.8, flange yolk, and install kit from M.O.R.E: $517. Now to justify the extra cost! D35 limited slip $429 Disc brake conversion for D35 $759. Justified yet?
(in the picture with the gears & shafts) The one on the left is the 35, 8.8 is on the right
